Spring Event Recap Boo Williams:
The Metros had a great spring event in Hampton, Virginia in April. The 16 Elite team won their pool, going 3-0 vs. Central Florida Elite, West Coast Premier and The New England Crusaders to advance to the Gold Division Bracket. Their quarter-finals match-up was against Boo Williams, whom the Metros haven't beaten on their "home floor" in more than 10 years! A rousing team-effort led them to victory and on to a semi-finals match-up against the Tennessee Flight. After a fast start out the gates, the Metros lost a close game to the eventual Boo Williams Champions by four points to finish the Spring with a 4-1 record and talk of their resurgence. Stay tuned for an update on the other three Georgia Metros Teams!
Fall Event Recap:
The Metros had a great fall event in Murfreesboro in October with both teams finishing 3-0. That record includes a rousing come from behind victory after being down 20+ to the Southern Starz. Adding to the excitement earlier was a buzzer beating, well executed play to down the Tennessee Flight! Add to that victories over the Southern Starz (again), Kentucky Premiere, Memphis Elite, and SBA Select. The hard work from the summer has carried over to the fall! - Sprinkle in a good time at the Blue Star event and it's easy to wrap things up with the following words: Great job ladies! Keep working hard!!!
